BEHIND THE LENS
Only when you understand your own journey, you can tell somebody else's Story.
Born in Moscow in 1982 to Cuban parents. I spend two years in an international students community before moving to Cuba with my mother. The first cobblestones that shaped the path of my life.
As a child, my favorite book was a world atlas. I imagined myself discovering exotic destinations and unknown cultures. Years later, I became a geographer. However, I kept a space in my life dedicated to art, enrolling to painting, architectural and graphic design lessons at a young age. Daughter of a wedding planner and sister of a florist, during my studies in Cuba I worked part-time in the wedding business with my mother and older sister.
Growing up in a communist dictatorship does not allow enough room for freedom of speech. Yet the burning desire to express yourself and narrate the complexity and truthfulness of the world around you awaits to be release. It made me bring freedom to the highest stage of my values ladder.
I moved to Germany in 2007 at the age 24, where I started to explore other countries and cultures and that’s when I discovered photography. Yearning to learn more about photo journalism and with the powerful need to express myself and how I see the world, I enrolled at the School of Photography in Cologne in 2009.
I have spent over 10 years documenting my travels, friends lifestyles and my own family. Even if we live thousands of km apart, I have a close relationship with my parents and sisters. In my photos I captured those connections and moments where they are experiencing life through the bond we share and the elements of my relationship with them.
In 2018, after I moved to the south of France with my husband, I found the courage to become a freelance photographer. I discovered the Mediterranean and the french Provençe to be an inspirational destination for every couple in love and a fresh start for me and my art.

I couldn’t be any other thing, because well, my life journey...
I’m not just a wanderer. As a very curious person and thirsty for knowledge, I not only visit a country I “travel” the culture. I immerse myself into foreign traditions, lifestyle and languages. This is the ingenious fuel for the narrative structure of my photos, the elements that feed my inspiration and have influenced my photography style.
I seek to immortalize the adventures and authenticity of badass brides, funny grooms & out-of-the-ordinary families. The same way I glance into my journey and my family, when I’m behind the camera, I search for the human connections, the journey and the love between the fascinating people I’m delighted to call my clients.

MY STYLE
My style crosses the lines between documentary photography, photographic art and photojournalism.
I love the classic black & white photography with heavy grain and high contrast. My color photography is Inspired by nature, long hikings, mysterious forest and Mediterranean blue. Earthy, bohemian and adventurous. You will be receiving a mix of black & white and color photographs.
The photographs will reflect the mood and energy of the day. But remember, no matter if it's an intimate wedding ceremony at grandma's garden, an elopement in the French Alps, a day full of kids running on the beach or friends toasting your happiness in a Provencal vineyard, this day is yours and it's all about you.

As a multicultural myself and polyglot , fluid in Spanish, German, English and French, I understand the cultural and language barriers of my clients and the challenges that come with them. This allows me not only to capture the rawness of the moment and the genuine nature of my subjects but also being able to manage the different languages when it comes to family portrait or multicultural weddings. I work with local clients, as well as for international weddings in France and abroad.
To understand the needs and aspirations of my clients providing them with high-quality images is one of my top priorities. I offer a personalized service from the first contact to the processing of the images.

This photograph is one of my favorites I have made from Tomy so far. Tomy was born a woman, but he never felt like one, not even as a little kid. At the age of 30 Tomy decided to transition. I’ve been photographing him since he told me he is no longer a woman and he will start his transition. This was our 3rd photo session. After he fully recovered from his torso plasty. I like how the morning light has created a spotlight with Tomy in the middle, showing a posture and very masculin body while, behind him his shadow show a more curvy figure with feminine appearance, like the woman hi is letting behind. The most interesting thing about this photo session, he was confident enough to be naked in front of the camera only wearing his jockstrap. If I would choose one single photo to describe Tomy’s transition this will be it.

L'été est la, et avec lui l'angoisse d'un corps parfait.
2 femmes sur 3 disent avoir un complexe avec leur corps. 86% femmes affirment que la publicité renforce les complexes. Les réseaux sociaux (79%) et la télévision (84%) accentuent également ce malaise.
Nous devons arrêter de nous gâcher la vie à cause de la stigmatisation des formes naturelles et la diversité corporelle et mètre fin au bodyshaming permanent auquel nous sommes soumises. Nous devons arrêter de promouvoir cette forme de honte de soi qui survient lorsque l'on ne répond pas aux critères du corps idéalisé du fameux bikini body.
Le plus important cet été est de profiter de nos vacances et de profiter au maximum des joies de l'été, quel que soit notre type de corps.

Depuis que j'ai commencé ma carrière de photographe, il y a plus de dix ans, je voulais raconter des histoires et faire de mon art un instrument porteur de sens. Je me suis inscrite à l'académie de photographie de Cologne pas pour apprendre à photographier des paysages ou des couches de soleil, mais pour apprendre à créer des histoires poignantes et à les utiliser pour activer le changement positif.

L'année dernière, j'ai découvert le travail de Devon Dadoly @ddadolyphoto, et j'ai réalisé que je pouvais utiliser mon art pour aider les autres et moi-même. Son cours en ligne "Introduction to Trauma-Informed Photography" m'a permis d'aborder la photographie intime d'un point de vue complètement novateur. J'ai entamé un nouveau voyage photographique avec un objectif plus humain et inclusif, celui de la photographie thérapeutique !

L'intention de travailler avec une " vision sensible aux traumatismes " n'est pas de guérir, de changer ou de "réparer ", mais de réduire la probabilité d'une re-traumatisation.

Je parlais récemment à une amie des modèles de relations et du fait que certaines relations sont mentalement épuisantes.
Dans un monde parfait, les amitiés et les relations amoureuses ou même du travail sont naturellement réciproques. Cependant, les relations peuvent parfois se déséquilibrer et devenir ce que l'on appelle une relation unidirectionnelle.
Ces relations peuvent provoquer une angoisse mentale et être physiquement et émotionnellement épuisantes.
Voici quatre signaux d'alarme :
- La relation vous épuise.
- Vous avez l'impression de ne pas avoir de lien réel et significatif.
- Le partenaire ne fait aucun sacrifice pour vous
- C'est toujours vous qui vous excusez.
La question de savoir si l'on peut changer une relation unidirectionnelle est sujette à débat. Chaque personne et chaque relation étant différentes, il n'existe pas de remède miraculeux.
Un moyen d'y remédier est d'être attentif aux signaux d'alarme, de veiller à son propre bien-être et à ses propres besoins, d'essayer de communiquer avec son partenaire en utilisant un langage neutre ou de demander l'aide d'un/e professionnel/le ou d'un/e ami/e proche.

Il y a 3 jours, à l'occasion de la Journée internationale de la visibilité des transgenres, j'ai vue une publication de @natgeo sur Avery Jackson, une jeune fille transgenre qui a fait son coming-out out à l'âge de 9 ans, et j'ai été choquée par l'ignorance et les commentaires haineux de certains internautes.
Les personnes marginalisées doivent avoir la possibilité d'être vues et de se faire entendre, autrement leurs histoires seront définies et contrôlées par d'autres, avec des récits souvent erronés ou encourageant la discrimination et la violence.
Pour ceux/celles qui, au sein de la communauté transgenre et nonbinaire, ont la possibilité de se montrer, restez fermes dans votre visibilité, partagez vos histoires et dites au monde que vous avez le droit de vivre sans vous cacher, sans violence et sans discrimination.
